The US Department of Energy just announced ten new projects under Connected Communities funding opportunity that will demonstrate how energy efficient and grid-interactive technologies can transform homes and workplaces into connected communities. Local to Boston, MA, Open Market ESCO LLC will be implementing energy saving and flexible technologies across 2,000 homes.
Fraunhofer USA CMI will be providing technical expertise for the design, development, implementation, and operation of the integrated control of flexible building loads, PV, and energy storage, including cybersecurity, as well as designing and evaluating the performance of the field demonstration, including developing scalable grid-interactive efficient building (GEB) solution packages for the multi-family sector, and publish and present results.
