Amine Lazrak is a member of the Building Energy Systems group. He specializes in thermal energy systems and application of machine learning and data mining techniques to energy efficiency in buildings.
Before Amine joined Fraunhofer CSE, he worked at Concordia University, where he collaborated with the famous Prof. Fariborz Haghighat. During his experience at Concordia University, he was responsible for developing new building data analytics methods as well as helping manage the ECES Annex 31 project of the International Energy Agency. During his PhD candidature at the French National Institute of Solar Energy (INES), Amine developed a new method to evaluate the energy performance of HVAC systems that use renewable energy sources.
In his free time Amine enjoys playing soccer and reading.
